Hi ,
Build it and they will come...
Except, that assumes you know what "they" want in the first place. If you don't, and you go ahead and build "it" anyway, "they" might come - but maybe not.
It depends on a number of factors, including trust, cost and awareness. But most importantly - does your offering
address a burning problem "they" are trying to solve?
If not, then why would "they" bother?
Here's the Thing...
Many data scientists went into the field to use of cutting edge techniques. Yet, not every data science problem warrants a cutting edge solution.
Data scientists exist to solve business problems. And the
problem being solved should *always* be what drives model choice - never the other way around.
Putting the solution ahead of the problem is why so many new data scientists fail.
Solving
a business problem with a simple solution may not seem glamorous, but that's how data scientists create value.
If you want to build more complex models, there's always Kaggle.
