There's a subset of the horror genre that makes most people ask "Why?" but makes the cold, black hearts of fans (like me) sing.
Known as "Frankenfiction", it involves mashing up classic tales with horror elements and is best epitomised by
the excellent Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Unfortunately, most people don't feel about Frankenfiction the way I do, and examples are few and far between.
Yet, an article I came across recently shows the potential for AI to address this shortcoming and has got me very excited about what may be to come.
So, to celebrate Halloween, here is a collection of 37 AI-generated images showing horror reimaginings of classic films:
